No pressure, guys - just send all your gorgeous gifts to me by the Feb 12th, and they should reach me in time..... :P

I didn't want to start a whole new topic, but I just saw a trailer on BBC America for something called "Hyperdrive". Looks like a spoofy scifi thing, a la Red Dwarf. Any good?

I quite liked Hyperdrive, it got compared alot to red dwarf and you can see why but it was different. I like the idea of what might happen if the UK managed to reach the stars, they were always trying to do business but the US would swoop in at the last minute. Got panned by the critics but the BBC are producing a new series. Link

The reviewers on this site didn't like it at all.

I'll still give it a look, though.

Hyperdrive was an excellent spoof of star trek. I liked it and am glad to hear a second series is planned.

Well, it is starting on Sci Fi next month, and allegedly (i.e. nothings official) Heroes will be launching on BBC2 later in Feb, or early March.

Along with Chris Eccleston joining the cast, another familiar face will be along in the second half of the season..... George Takei, will be taking on the role of the character Hiro Nakamura's father :D
Second star to the right. Then straight on till morning.....

I'm a bit p-d off, because I think they've got Heroes and 24 both on at 9pm tomorrow....

Boo, hiss!

I guess that's what VCRs/DVD recorders are for. I think I'll watch 24 and record Heroes.

Look forward to hearing your thoughts on 24 - but I should probably do that in the 24 thread.... :)

--Do you get a 2 hour opener tonight, like we did last Monday?

I can't wait to find out more about Hiro, the sword, and the freakin huge DRAGON.

Heroes has not started at all in this country. Thank goodness for Bittorrent. If I knew what that was. Which I don't.
